# Introduction

Cylex EMS MDT gives your FiveM server a hospital Mobile Data Terminal with patient records, surgeries, prescriptions, lab tests, ICU and medic tools.

Cylex EMS MDT is a FiveM resource that gives every medic and doctor on your server a tablet-based Mobile Data Terminal. From one tablet screen, medics write patient records, schedule surgeries, write and print prescriptions, request lab tests, admit patients to the ICU, keep a medical profile for every citizen, and run their hospital: ranks, units, exams, notes and logs. Everything happens in the game. Changes made by one medic show up on every other open tablet right away.

The script runs on QBCore, Qbox and ESX. It finds your framework, inventory and phone script by itself, and it creates its own database tables when it starts, so there is no SQL file to import.

Every page in the sidebar except the Dashboard can be turned on or off and reordered in `editable/config.lua`. The language, colors, open key, tablet item and hospitals are set there too, without touching the locked script files.

Cylex EMS MDT is made for EMS jobs only. Police jobs such as `police`, `sheriff` or `fib` can never open it, even when you add them to the config. It can run on the same server as the police [Cylex MDT](/docs/scripts/cylex-mdt/introduction.md): each tablet opens only for its own jobs.

| Conditions      | The diagnosis library with ICD-10 codes and default costs.                           |
| Medics, Units   | The medic list, the chain of command and live response units.                        |
| Notes, Exams    | Rich-text notes and written certification exams.                                     |
| Analytics       | Hospital statistics over time.                                                       |
